Started in July 2009 – Glad you made it! With your help we will create a community of designers.

We (as in you and me) are making a collaborative effort to make a website that is a community of designers for designers.

Why start a Designer Community?
Having been a designer for many years, one of the hardest things I discovered was learning new techniques. Where can I find reliable fonts, brushes, shapes and tutorials? How can I get useful addons I need with no budget? Who can I turn to to help me? Many designers have been blessed with talent but it’s difficult to get noticed. It’s hard to get hired, and it’s hard to become a star.

 


We will have rich, intuitive tutorials provided by many of us. Free brushes and shapes. Unlike many other sites, we are going for the full spectrum of websites. As our readers expand so will the site. Everything is laid out and it’s up to us to make it grow.

I will be forward in the development and design of this site. You are all welcome to participate, I actually expect you to. :) I could have setup this site on my localhost and completed it and then published it, but every part of this site will be shown and explained. If we some way made $1, you would know about it and how it’s going to be spent. This is a collaboration of designers!
