1. How much time do you dedicate to learning design every day?
I often spend a couple of hours reading up on my feeds every few days, during this time I always discover something new so I guess this could count as time spent educating myself. I also find creating tutorials can help develop my skills, so the weekly posts on Blog.SpoonGraphics and Line25 come in handy!

2. What other designers do you have contact with on a regular basis?
I enjoy keeping up with the daily updates from various designers and bloggers on Twitter. I have a large collection of various people from around the world I love to communicate with.

3. Who are the top 2-3 designers that you respect and why?
I’m a fan of the work of Elliot Jay Stocks,
Tim Van Damme and
Chris Coyier. All have great knowledge of CSS and web standards in general and can use the technologies to create some wonderful designs.

4. What’s your favorite website or design you ever made and why?
I’m quite proud of my recent redesign of my SpoonGraphics portfolio. It combines my latest inspirations and being a recent creation it makes use of fresh coding and CSS skills.

5. Have you ever been published in a book or magazine? What books or magazines?
I’ve had the pleasure of appearing in NET Magazine on a few occurrences, had a spot in Web Designer Magazine and collaborated as an author of the upcoming Smashing Book.

6. What’s your favorite color in hexadecimal? How often do you find yourself leaning towards it with design projects?
Chris Spooner color#8a654b is a colour I often use as part of my personal branding, although it isn’t one I tend to use in client projects. One of the dark greys such as Chris Spooner color#666666 usually comes in handy!

7. What’s your most recent project we can look at?
I haven’t update my portfolio with any super recent projects, but check out my recent redesign of DesignBump for one of my favourite projects of late.
