1. How much time do you dedicate to learning design every day?
I am constantly seeking inspiration and new methods of creating. Whether it be emulation of a style or aesthetic or trying to learn step by step tutorial techniquesI try to meld into making my own, or simply a conglomeration of the 1,000′s of images you can see in just a few minutes on sites like designspiration.net and ffffound.com

2. What other designers do you have contact with on a regular basis?
What other designers do you have contact with on a regular basis? I talk on almost a daily basis with Emir Ayouni (http://www.growcase.com/). We bounce ideas back and fourth and talk shop or share stupid links. I am also in frequent contact with previous colleagues and coworkers such as Nathan Shinkle (http://www.nathanshinkle.com/) Baxter Orr (http://baxterorr.com/) and Dave Windisch (http://mile44.com/)
A little less frequent, but every now and then, I chat with some pretty rad folks that I consider good “internet friends” are Riley Cran (http://www.rileycran.com/) Michael & Karen of Two Arms Inc (http://www.twoarmsinc.com/) and Wellington Payne of Shed Labs (http://shedlabs.com/)

3. Who are the top 2-3 designers that you respect and why?
I really respect and admire Aaron Draplin for his sheer badassery and ability to harness an American era of aesthetic from the mid-century but at the same time make it feel very modern and fresh. It’s a true talent. At the same time, he’s just seriously a rad dude.
Huge fan of Curtis Jinkins. No one does hand-drawn, vintage type design like that guy!

4. What’s your favorite website or design you ever made and why?
I’m pretty proud of My dentist’s website http://www.kolmandental.com/rocknrolldoc/ not only is he the best dentist ever, he is a super rad dude that is a solid supporter of the local music scene in indianapolis. I did the branding for the “Rock N Roll Doc” and the design for the site with the help of my good friend and WordPress Genius Nate Greuel (http://www.seventhstr1ng.com/)

5. Have you ever been published in a book or magazine? What books or magazines?
I have had work featured in two editions of the French arts & culture magazine “Uzbek et Rica”. I have also had editorial illustration in SanFrancisco Magazine and Ferocious Quarterly.

6. What’s your favorite color in hexadecimal? How often do you find yourself leaning towards it with design projects?
#efbb29 . . . Far too often. Paired with cream and charcoal, it’s pure sexiness.

7. What’s your most recent project we can look at?
Just got approval on a couple gig posters I’ll be screen printing this month as well as some new shirts I just designed and printed. I also finished a poster for a movie poster group art exhibit where 40 artist re-interpret classic film posters.
