Hi Everyone!
I have been working hard to get new pieces of this site finished to offer you all a community to become a part of.
If you’re new here, I started this site with a fun mascot which later was named Cory U. Gated. At the time I thought he was the right direction, by trying to be different than the normal design site. I’m a fan of simplicity and easy readability. Well, after your votes and constant emails from other top designers, I have decided to discontinue our mascot and replace it with a cleaner box logo.
It appears my readers have increased at BoxedinDesign and have become steady. I really appreciate you all (even David Leggett) and I just want to hug you all.

Yes! Our mascot is coming along in 3d. Dave our 3d guru is helping us our with the box creation. Keep up the good work man. He’s starting to come together.

As many of you know, this site is fresh and new, as of Jul 25, 09.
I know that you’re all expecting lots of updates and tutorials. Well, I just wanted to ensure that they are coming. :)
New things on the horizon and how you can get involved!
1. Designers page – send me your image of you, name and a paragraph about yourself.
2. Side scrolling website tutorial (it’s really a how I made it, but cool).
3. Drupal tutorial courtesy of Creative Customs.
4. Name that box contest ending and then animation on page of the box. Winner will get a surprise too!

Finally, we got a box design I can stand behind. He looks good (this is still the rough version) and will soon be animated and living here at Boxed In Design. There’s still something missing. Ah, we need to give this fun fellow a name to address him by.

Missing some states in the US
After checking Google Analytics it looks like we are missing out on some states visiting us.
1. Nevada
2. West Virgina
3. Kansas – Update: Kansas has visited.
4. South Dakota
5. Montana
Know someone who lives in one of the states listed above? Tell them to stay away, we don’t want their kind messing up out statistics. :)
